Reasons for this review as follows.

1. Was offered well below spot price for a portion of a gold necklace I wasn't intending to sell. 24 dollars for over half gram of 23k gold. March 2024.

2. Was told the cost of a solid 18k 10mm clasp would be $150.00. very inconsistent with the above offer.

3. Was offered free service for a ring to be unbent but $70.00 for fixing a small crack. The quoted cost of welding is $30.00.

Conclusion: would not recommend Greg's service. He stated he sends out to another jeweler anyway so it's a pass through project.

Recommended option :

Latts jewelry in capitola. Phenomenal people and can talk to the person actually doing the work.

Generous with a star as no work was done.

Beautiful Christmas present - 14k hinged bangle - it was too small, and we ran into an issue with the second bangle. Leslie and the jeweler made it right. Very hard to find humility and a willingness to “make customer happy” these days. We are very happy with their handling of sometimes difficult business! Thank you!

If you need jewelry, Leslie is the one to see! She helped me and my fiance pick out a beautiful custom engagement ring and wedding ring. There are so many beautiful necklaces and bracelets in that store, I have to resist buying anything extra. All staff that we've talked to have been super helpful and very knowledgeable. 11/10 we be coming back soon for more jewelry 🙂

We couldn't have had a better experience purchasing my engagement ring from Greg and Leslie. We went to the fancy jewelry store across the street first and were treated a little bit like we didn't belong, then went to Leslie and Greg - Leslie was warm, informative, welcoming, willing to work within our budget, and set clear expectations. Best jeweler in town! I love the customer service Greg and Leslie provide. Greg made a custom wedding ring for my daughter that was so gorgeous I wanted one for myself. So he made me one! Greg is always helpful, cleaning my rings anytime I stop by. It's really comforting to have a family based business for all life's special occasions.

My fiancé and I went to Stephan’s to design an engagement ring together. The whole process took about ~7 weeks from going in for the first time for info, and for the ring to be completed. We wanted to go somewhere local because Santa Cruz is a very special place for us, and I’m SO happy we did. Both Leslie & Greg are so knowledgeable and such a delight to work with. My ring came out even more stunning than I could have ever imagined. We will be going back for polishing and other ring maintenance.
